We felt that this stylized meadow, lit up in glowing splendor, would cast light on mother earths grounding effects and all of the enchantment the natural world holds when left untouched, as well as placing further emphasis on the benevolent investment to Buffalo’s park system.

We intimately sourced material from flower farmers living in Western New York, in the days leading up to the event. These relationships with growers, friendships built over the years; There is nothing more satisfying than supporting your community.

Twenty eight bunches of grasses, sheared, bundled and then staged at the base of Hotel Henry’s ‘stairs to nowhere.’ Once the bundles were untied, their form unfurled in poetic gesture as if planted there .
